Some older items never hurt!

So every now and then I go to do a blog post and realise that everything I want to blog is for events that are either just finished or older items that have been in the store for a while. I always try to keep on top of the items that I receive and blog items that are current but sometimes something will just stand out and I will just have to blog it! Today was one of those days.

Victorian-Queen-1 While trying to come up with a background idea for another outfit I came across this awesome Royal Counsellor’s Bench set from Noctis which was a part of the August round of Totally Top Shelf and can be found on the marketplace. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it (I hadn’t seen it until now possibly because I received it right before I was locked out of my account for a while) so I had to make an outfit to match it right away!

Before making an outfit I went through my inventory to find some other items that would match the set nicely. I found these beautiful Grand Cupped Curtains and the Ornate Candlestick & Candle and the Dripping Candles by paper moon which fit the theme nicely! All of these items can now be found at the paper moon mainstore (click their name for a tp!)

After this it was on to the outfit! This gorgeous Elisabeth Fitted dress in pearl and Elisabeth Tiara in Gold Obsidian by *Sweet Kajira* really set the scene nicely and went with the overall victorian sort of theme. Combined with the Rowan hair from Besom  (which can be found at Tres Chic until November 5th) the outfit really does have a gorgeous royal look.

As always to complete any look I need to pick a skin and other little touches such as jewelry! Today I chose to go with the Amber 2 skin by Hush (this one’s a new release!) as I thought the minimal makeup suited the look I was going for. Hush have Loud Mouth appliers available in store, so it was one of the very rare occasions that I changed my mouth from it’s usual an went with something different! Personally I don’t think it turned out too bad, I might just go back to using Loud Mouth when using Hush skins in the future just for something out of the norm. Another thing I want to mention about Hush skins are the fact that they come with eyes included. I love this fact! I love changing my eyes but sometimes having to search through my inventory to find them drives me nuts! It’s great to have to just go to the skin folder to change my eyes right along with my skin!

For jewelry I kept it to a minimum again and added a bit of a modern touch just to be a bit cheeky. The Diamond tear piercings I’m wearing are from Punch and are only 50L so really are a bargain! Last but not least is the Miss TWA 2015 necklace that I’m wearing from Muse, this is the October group gift so be sure you get in there in the next couple of days to grab this one up! The group is 75L to join and there’s always awesome group gifts on offer so is well worth spending the 75L on!

Well that’s all from me for this post. I hope you guys are having an awesome week!
